The United States is a capitalist country run by billionaires who can buy politicians and elections. This is the class Trump represents, but he is not a Republican. He is a fascist criminal who wants to be a dictator. Income inequality is growing in the U.S. and will accelerate under Trump.
Many young people and progressives walked away from the Democratic Party after watching “Genocide Joe” enable genocide in Gaza. They did not want to vote for genocide, so they voted for a third party or did not vote in the 2024 election.
The Republican Party will not help the Palestinians in Gaza. The Guardian reported that Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, said, “Gaza’s waterfront property could be very valuable,” and suggested Israel should move the Palestinians to the Negev desert. Also, off the coast of Gaza are vast deposits of oil and gas.
Other voters believe Trump will help the economy, and he will for multi-millionaires and billionaires. Many men see Trump as a strong, successful man’s man and a role model for them to emulate. Conspiracy theories and MAGA propaganda on social media have confused many to the point they don’t know what is true and what is a lie.
Warnings about the danger of Project 2025, a 922 document, were reported, but the document was too large for most people to read and comprehend in such a short time. People Power United highlights some of the worst policies in Project 2025 in a Zoom meeting. If Trump only implements part of this project, it will be devastating to millions of people and the environment.
Project 2025 is the brainchild of Kelvin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank. It promotes conservative and right-wing policies to reshape the federal government of the United States. It would consolidate the executive power under the president and put the Department of Justice and FBI under the President’s direct control. It would also allow for deploying the military in the United States against protesters overruling mayors and governors in blue cities and states.
This document envisions a top-to-bottom overhaul of American life and total control of people’s lives by the Trump administration; it reserves its most vicious attacks for women and girls.
Statement by Democratic House Committee Members on Project 2025:
“We’ve already seen the vision imposed on the 22 states that have enacted Trump’s abortion bans. The results have been horrific, and in South Carolina, Amari Marsh was arrested and charged with the crime of having a miscarriage. She spent 22 days in jail. She faced 20 years in prison until a grand jury of her peers set her free. In Georgia, Amber Thurman and Candy Miller needlessly lost their lives because their doctors feared going to prison themselves if they administered the care their patients needed, and these are just a few of the women who have been affected. Project 2025 would take these Trump abortion bans nationwide, with no exceptions for rape, incest, or even the survival of a patient. It would remove birth control options from insurance coverage and impose abortion surveillance, monitoring women when they get pregnant. It would prosecute your pharmacist for mailing abortion medication and jail emergency room doctors for saving the life of a pregnant woman.
In a triumph of cruelty, it would make it harder to get by as a parent. It proposes shutting down Head Start, defunding public schools, hiking taxes on the middle class, and weakening protections for pregnant students and nursing moms.”
Project 2025 is Maga’s plan to institutionalize Trumpism to take control of every aspect of American lives. It has four pillars, only one of which has been fully disclosed.
Piller One: the 922-page manifesto laying out their plans to take the reins of government. Pillar Two: It’s about repopulating the federal workforce with Trump loyalists after they’ve purged thousands of professional civil servants. Pillar Three: the creation of the Presidential Administration Academy. It is extreme Maga Republican basic training taught by some of Trump’s closest advisors. Pillar Four Is a secret 180-day plan to implement these radical policies, agency by agency, from the day Trump takes the oath of office,
Project 2025 is Trump’s manifesto to turn our federal government into a tool of Maga extremism. The first step is to eliminate checks on presidential power and anything and anyone who stands in Trump’s way. This includes firing thousands of career civil servants and then replacing them with Maga loyalists, directing the FBI, the Justice Department, and the IRS to investigate Trump’s perceived enemies, and even deploying active-duty military personnel on our streets.
People Power United highlights a few of Project 2025’s actions; it does not include the complete list of dangerous policies.
The Economy: it would put the Federal Reserve under presidential control. It would gut the Dodd-Frank banking regulations, and if you’re a homeowner or a depositor in any U.S. Bank, it will privatize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. This would increase your lending costs and mean that bank deposits would no longer be insured.
Civil Rights: It would end same-sex marriage and no-fault divorce and cancel any pre-existing LGBTQI rights and federal protections. It seeks to restrict freedom of speech and the press and remove the freedom to assemble or protest.
Voting: Abusing executive power to interfere in elections by criminalizing the voting process and damaging fair representation.
Education: It would end public education and divert public funds to private and religious schools with vouchers. It would eliminate the Department of Education and seek to defund the public broadcasting corporations PBS and NPR.
The Environment. It would end all programs currently addressing climate change and stop existing climate change research. It would deregulate big business and oil companies, repeal any tax subsidies for clean energy, and cut renewable energy funding. It would also remove the United States from any international climate agreements.
Federal Government: It would reduce congressional oversight by moving it to the executive branch and eliminate multiple agencies, including the FDA, NOAA, the NWS, the Economic Development Administration, Homeland Security, and the Department of Education. So many agencies would be cut, but the Supreme Leader would oversee others.
Health Care: It would repeal the Affordable Care Act, privatize or end Medicare, and seek to end Medicaid. Pre-existing condition protection would be lost, meaning that many people would not be able to get insurance or see a substantial increase in their insurance costs.
Immigration: The plan would include deporting approximately 15 million immigrants using the United States military. It would deport Dreamers, and in the DACA program, children, or now adults, that were brought here as children. They’ve lived in this country for many years, and they would be deported to a country that they didn’t know. It would seek to build detention camps for adults and children at the border, and we would see families separated again. It would also ban Muslims from entering the U.S.
Poverty. It would seek to end programs that help community members who might be disenfranchised or experiencing poverty. It would end student loan forgiveness and criminalize the unhoused members of our community.
Racial Justice: It would ban books about slavery and homosexuality. Within the Fair Housing Act, any government program that promotes equity or equality, including hiring, job promotion, and housing, would seek to end those protections.
Religion: It would end the separation of church and state and infuse a fundamentalist so-called Judeo-Christian value throughout the government. There is nothing Christian about these MAGA policies. They are cruel, immoral, and inhumane.
Taxes: It would afford tax benefits to the wealthy and higher taxes for everyone else. It would add a national sales tax, take control of the IRS, and repeal the taxes in the Inflation Reduction Act, which ultimately means higher costs for Americans.
It would raise the retirement age for Social Security, privatize or end Social Security, and end IRAs. It would seek to dismantle safety protections and exempt small businesses from OSHA fines. It would also allow states to exempt themselves from Fair Labor Standards and child labor laws, which means we would start to see more children working in factories or on farms. Eliminate overtime for workers earning over $35,000, which means that many working Americans would not get that time and a half for protection.
Judicial: It would fill the Supreme Court and lower courts with extreme right-wing judges. When that happens, it would destroy the rule of law.

This summarizes what citizens can do to dislodge an oppressive dictator. It focuses entirely on nonviolent action because the state almost always has overwhelming superiority when it comes to the use of force. Violent opposition most often leads to prolonged stalemate or prolonged civil war.
The objective of nonviolent action is to undermine those in power while winning over the general population. It gives over 200 non-violent actions.
Speak up and show up against racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, homophobia, misogyny, sexism, ageism, transphobia, misogyny, elitism, bigotry, and all forms of discrimination that hurt people.
Stand up, speak out, push back, and resist any takeover by Project 2025. This attempt to move us from a democracy to an autocratic dictatorship with a Supreme Leader is dangerous. Please share information about Project 2025 with your family, friends, community and on social media about the danger it represents.
It’s our responsibility to help elect leaders who represent the people’s will, but we also have a responsibility to hold them accountable after elections, even in red states.
We can’t afford the excuse that my elected official doesn’t care or that it is a waste of time. That’s part of the problem: we’ve given up holding them accountable. So if you cannot get through to your lawmaker, then contact their staff and keep contacting them, call them, fax them, tweet at them on social media, show up in their offices, continue to contact them, and ask them to speak out on Project 2025,
Writing letters to the editor is a way to express your opinion on the plan’s dangers. Sharing information on social media is also critical, so take time to ensure that you share resources.
Participate in nonviolent protests and demonstrations in the streets and at your Senators’ and Representatives’ offices. Lobby your representative and write letters and emails. Join groups resisting Project 2025. Practice nonviolent actions.
The dictator wins by bullying and sending thugs to threaten you and your family into silence. Look how terrified most Republicans are to stand up and tell the truth. Silence is consent, so be loud and brave.
