The Party for Socialism and Liberation Atlanta called an emergency protest in front of the Israeli Consulate on Tuesday night, March 18, because over 400 Palestinians were killed today by Israel. Protests were held all over the U.S. and the world in opposition to the destruction of Gaza and the ongoing genocide and starvation of the Palestinian people.
“As Palestinians, we have been fighting for 75 years, and we will keep fighting until Palestine is free. Israel broke the cease-fire on Ramadan, a holy month,” a Palestinian woman born and raised in Jerusalem said.
“Over 400 Palestinian lives were lost at the hands of the Zionist forces within a matter of hours. This is the largest loss of life recorded on a single day in the past 17 months of this U.S.-Israeli genocide on the Palestinian people,” a graduate student from Emory University said.
Israel has consistently undermined the so-called ceasefire by both indirectly and directly killing Gazans throughout this period. On March 2, Israel sealed Gaza borders, blocking food and medical supplies from entering Gaza to starving Palestinians. The genocide has never stopped because the Israeli military has never stopped killing Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank since 1947.

The latest victims in the U.S. – of this unending Zionist war and land grab in Palestine – are Mahmoud Khalil and Lakia Cordia, who were arrested for protesting genocide against the Palestinian people. Khalil has a green card and was illegally taken from his home by ICE and DHS agents. He is accused of engaging in anti-Semitic activity and supporting Hamas without any proof.
Trump wants Khalil deported and students who are pro-Palestine arrested and expelled from college. Anyone, even Jewish people, who supports human rights for Palestinians is considered antisemitic and a supporter of Hamas.

“We will be revoking the visas and/or green cards of Hamas supporters,” Marco Rubio tweeted. As usual, without any proof. Trump wants to use Mahmoud and Lakia to criminalize protests and free speech against the U.S. government’s complicity in genocide.
“These heavy-handed, unlawful measures by the Trump administration are meant to squash free political expression and activism, and it is especially meant to silence those protesting Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people.
We must be the resistance against this authoritative and repressive Trump government and billionaire ruling class. If we want to win, we must unite and organize within the Belly of the Beast.” the Emory student said.
The Palestinian youth movement exposed Maersk, the shipping giant that is responsible for transporting hundreds of millions of dollars worth of weapons to Israel. This makes Maersk complicit in the genocide in Gaza, as well as Lockheed Martin, who supplies Israel with weapons and equipment.
Students call for an arms embargo against weapon manufacturers and cargo companies. We must put pressure on companies that supply weapons to Israel.

“Trump is sending 19 billion over the next year to Israel so they can keep the genocide going on the U.S. taxpayer’s dime.,” a Georgia State University student said. He listed agencies and departments for which DOGE would cut funds.

“Israel will receive $19 billion in the 2025/26 budget, while the Department of Education budget is $13 billion and the EPA budget is $11 billion. Yet we are told these organizations are too wasteful and expensive to function, so they must be cut.
No more federal funding for public schools, no more aid for teachers, no more research against pollution, no more grants for environmental restoration or dumping regulations, or for disabled kids to get the education that they deserve. But the government has 19 billion for Israel.
Trump does not care about the working class. He doesn’t care about you or me or our friends or families. He cares about profit for himself and his billionaire friends, and he cares about U.S. imperialism.
Our taxes can’t go to roads, but they can go to bomb Gaza. Our taxes can’t go to schools, but they can go to funding gunpoint slavery in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Our taxes can’t go to us because Trump and the millionaire and billionaire class say our tax dollars must go to them and their industrial projects and corporations.
The cuts, firings, and deregulations represent a war on the working class globally. In America, Trump is chaining undocumented individuals and throwing them into cages. Trump is willingly pouring money into the prison system to keep incarcerated people working as legalized slave labor.
Trump is salivating at all the money that cutting Social Security will make for him and his buddies but will put elderly Americans on the street to die.
The millionaires are waging war on us here at home, on the people of Gaza, and on all those who stand against imperialism. It’s all for their profit, wealth, and benefit, But it will not be forever. The working people of America will run this country. Yemen will be safe, and Palestine will be free,” the GSU student said.

As long as people say, “I don’t want to think about it,” or “We need to be nice,” and continue to follow the rules while the criminals, gangsters, racists, and fascists in the White House don’t follow the rules but do whatever they damn well please to destroy the government. We will lose all our hard-won rights over the past 100 years. It is time to wake up, stand up, speak out, and join in the growing resistance in this country.

How do I get notified of these demos, I know many people in PSL but don’t hear about demos until after they are over. How do you find out about them? I have Palestinians and Muslims on my fascebook.
